Game Day Ready
Any sports day in South Africa means it’s time to hang out with the people that we love! With the COVID-19 restrictions no longer put in place for social gatherings, game days are a great way to spend time with family and friends. If the weather allows you to sit outside with some of your favourite people and enjoy a delicious meal, how would you prepare for this day?
Why not host a good braai? Don’t throw just any braai, throw something that will make everyone talking about their game day experience at your house for weeks!
We have put together some tips for hosting the perfect game day at your home.
1)Get the ice bucket or a GoBar Cool Bar ready first thing in the morning! To get your drinks extra chilly and cold, here’s the trick: Fill an ice bucket with ice, then halfway up with water, and then drop in the bottle.
2)Serve Snacks Before the game begins. Be sure to get some snacks ready before your guests get struck by the nibbles. Anything from a bag of chips, crackers or a glass of Kingsley Cola should hit the spot. But, if you want to be healthier, you can thread some fresh fruits onto some kebab sticks and serve these to your guests.
3)Make Salads. We all love a good potato salad but there are plenty of salad options to explore so why not try your hand at a more creative salad? If there’s one way to draw the attention of your guests, it’s with a fun and delicious salads
4)Arrange Entertainment for the Kids and Adults. It can become quite boring to sit around after the game has ended or if your team didn’t perform well, keeping yourself and everyone else in a good mood after the game will be an important activity to master. Organize cups and balls for beer ponging with adults, and arrange some entertainment to keep the kids busy.
